Murdoch Open Day 2018
Murdoch University's Open Day will take place on Saturday 28 July from 10am-4pm
Join in the fun when Murdoch opens its doors to showcase everything our great University has to offer.
This year’s event will be bigger than ever, attracting thousands to one of Australia’s largest campuses.
There will be live music and roving entertainment from comedian Famous Sharron, an explosive Chemistry Extravaganza Show, forensic investigations, free soft tissue massages and a huge range of food options.
With the launch of Murdoch’s $2.6million state-of-the-art networking and gaming facility, the focus will be on all things tech. Visitors can transport themselves into the world of virtual reality, where they can test their 3D painting skills, role play in a virtual classroom or play games designed by Murdoch students.
Animal lovers can tour The Animal Hospital and campus farm, visit the petting zoo, or meet the trained therapy dogs who are eager for pats and cuddles. Keep an eye out for local wildlife including the resident quendas and endangered black cockatoos who are the source of various studies at the University.
Those interested in criminology can head to Murdoch’s purpose-built Moot Court to witness the Trial of Goldilocks or check the ‘Breaking Bad’ talk on why people commit crimes and explore which childhood environments contribute to antisocial behaviour.
Visitors can also check out the new Student Hub, nursing simulation suites with realistic, high-tech mannequins, the Media Arts Centre and simply experience a day out in our beautiful bushland setting.
Murdoch Open Day will take place from 10am until 4pm. The full program will be announced soon.
